What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to prominently display signs both inside and outside their studios. These signs must adhere to the specific form, color, number, location, and size designated by Basecamp Fitness, and must contain the brand's Marks. Basecamp Fitness may also require franchisees to use illuminated signs. Franchisees are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses for these signs, ensuring they comply with all applicable laws and ordinances.
Basecamp Fitness retains control over the signage and advertising displayed at the studio. Franchisees cannot display any sign or advertising that Basecamp Fitness objects to. Furthermore, franchisees must operate their studios in a way that clearly identifies and advertises them as a Basecamp Fitness studio. The style, form, and use of the words "Basecamp Fitness" must have prior written approval from Basecamp Fitness and comply with their specifications.
Franchisees must use the brand's Marks on all signs in the manner prescribed by Basecamp Fitness and provide samples or photographs upon request. If Basecamp Fitness decides to modify or discontinue the use of any Mark, franchisees must immediately adopt the changes at their own expense. Upon termination of the franchise agreement, franchisees must remove all signage bearing the Marks and modify the studio premises to distinguish it from the Basecamp Fitness system.
Prior to opening, franchisees must purchase or lease only the signs that Basecamp Fitness has approved. Franchisees must also obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and architectural seals and comply with applicable legal requirements relating to the signs. Franchisees cannot make changes to any signage in their Basecamp Studio without prior written consent from Basecamp Fitness, and such changes must align with the Mandatory Specifications.
