What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the individuals required to complete additional pre-opening training programs are the franchisee or their Principal Operator (as specified by Basecamp Fitness) and the Studio Manager.
These additional training programs, along with other training requirements, must be completed to Basecamp Fitness's satisfaction within the timeframes they specify. Franchisees are responsible for all travel and lodging expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel to attend these trainings. Basecamp Fitness determines whether these trainings will be held online, at the franchisee's Basecamp Studio, or at another location.
It is important to note that while Basecamp Fitness does not charge a fee for these pre-opening training courses (other than "Launch Training" and the Coaches Training), the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and lodging expenses for themselves and their personnel. The franchisor can also mandate additional training programs throughout the term of the agreement to familiarize the franchisee and their management team with changes and updates to the Basecamp Fitness system, with the franchisee bearing the costs for such training.
