What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the person designated as the "Principal Operator" and the studio manager are required to attend the New Franchisee Training. This training consists of Role Specific Training, Presale Training, and Launch Training, and it takes place at a location designated by Basecamp Fitness. If the Principal Operator is not also a Principal Owner, then that individual, along with the studio manager and fitness manager, must sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements. A Principal Owner must also attend and complete the training if the Principal Operator is not also a Principal Owner. Additional personnel of the studio must attend and complete other required trainings before opening the Basecamp Fitness studio.
Basecamp Fitness charges $3,000 for the Launch Training and $3,000 for the Coaches Training Course, which the Fitness Manager and a minimum of 3 coaches must attend before the studio opens. The Fitness Manager is also required to take the Day in the Life Training, for which Basecamp Fitness currently does not charge a fee but may in the future. The franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses for all training attendees.
For a prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisee, this means that they need to factor in the costs of training, including the Launch Training and Coaches Training Course fees, as well as travel and living expenses for themselves and their staff. It is important to ensure that the designated personnel are available to attend the training and that all required agreements are signed. Failing to comply with these training requirements could delay the opening of the Basecamp Fitness studio.
