Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Before the opening of your Basecamp Studio, we provide an initial training program ("Initial Training Program") also referred to as "New Franchisee Training" to the Principal Owner, the person you designate as the "Principal Operator" of your Basecamp Studio and your studio manager. This training begins 120 days before your Studio opens and concludes approximately one week prior to opening. It includes: (1) Role Specific Onboarding (training for studio managers, coaches and front desk staff); (2) Presale Training (training for executing sales in the period prior to opening); (3) Launch Training (training in studio operations for the period up to and immediately following opening); and (4) Coaches Training (training for coaches to deliver the Basecamp workout experience). New Franchisee Training may be provided in a virtual format, in-person at our corporate offices in Woodbury, Minnesota, or at another location designated by us, at our discretion. The training is held on an as needed basis to accommodate demand. There is no charge to you for this training, but you are responsible for all travel and living expenses you and your personnel incur in attending the training. In addition, if your Principal Operator is not also a Principal

Owner, then a Principal Owner of your business must also attend and complete this training to our satisfaction before your open your Basecamp Studio.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Initial Training Program, also known as "New Franchisee Training," is mandatory for the Principal Owner, the designated Principal Operator, and the studio manager before opening a Basecamp Studio. This comprehensive training program begins approximately 120 days before the studio's opening and concludes about a week before the launch. It covers various essential aspects, including role-specific onboarding for studio managers, coaches, and front desk staff, presale training for executing sales before opening, launch training in studio operations, and coaches training for delivering the Basecamp workout experience.

The New Franchisee Training may be provided virtually, in-person at Basecamp Fitness's corporate offices in Woodbury, Minnesota, or at another designated location. While there is no direct charge for the training itself, franchisees are responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel while attending the training.

Furthermore, if the Principal Operator is not also a Principal Owner, then a Principal Owner must also attend and complete this training before the Basecamp Studio can open. Basecamp Fitness retains the discretion to modify the New Franchisee Training requirements, potentially allowing experienced Principal Owners or Operators who have successfully managed a Basecamp Fitness studio to test out of Presale and Launch Training, provided they meet specific criteria and pass the required assessments.
