What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Basecamp Fitness Franchise Disclosure Document, ProVision's obligations regarding monitoring are limited. ProVision agrees to perform security monitoring services, but only if the franchisee purchases all security equipment through ProVision and ProVision installs that equipment.
Specifically, the Security Monitoring Services include monitoring the physical alarm system. However, these services explicitly exclude the video recorders or the monitoring of closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs). Furthermore, ProVision will not provide Security Monitoring Services for a security system purchased from or installed by a third party.
Regarding website content, the agreement states that the Hosting Services provided by ProVision do not include any website development services, authorship, or creation with respect to the franchisee's site. The customer, as the franchisee, is responsible for the content of their site. This implies that ProVision is not obligated to monitor or manage the content that franchisees place on their Basecamp Fitness websites.
