What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Basecamp Fitness Franchise Disclosure Document, Basecamp Fitness owners are not liable for the installation of equipment. The FDD states that the owner (lessor) of the equipment has no liability for the installation of the equipment. The customer (franchisee) also cannot rely on any statements or representations made by the owner.

This means that Basecamp Fitness franchisees are responsible for ensuring the proper installation of equipment and cannot hold the equipment owner liable for any issues arising from the installation process. This could include damages, malfunctions, or any other problems related to the equipment's setup.

It is important for prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisees to understand this allocation of responsibility, as it places the onus on them to carefully oversee the installation process or hire qualified professionals to do so. Franchisees should conduct thorough inspections and testing of the equipment after installation to ensure it is functioning correctly and meets all required specifications. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for the performance, selection, testing, quality, maintenance, or support of the equipment.
