What are the obligations of a Basecamp Fitness franchisee regarding attendance at Basecamp Fitness conferences?

Basecamp_Fitness Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

A Principal Owner must register for, pay the registration fee, and attend our conferences, if and when we have them.

Additional representatives of yours may also attend the conference, as long as you register them and pay the then-current registration fee for their attendance.

This conference may be a live or virtual event.

You must also pay for all travel and living expenses incurred by you and your representatives in attending the conference.

If your Principal Owner fails to attend our annual conference, we will bill you for the then-current "early bird" (or similar) conference fee after the conference.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at the brand's conferences is a requirement for the Principal Owner of the franchise. The Principal Owner must register, pay the registration fee, and attend any conferences that Basecamp Fitness holds. These conferences may be live or virtual events.

In addition to the registration fee, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred by the Principal Owner and any other representatives attending the conference. If the Principal Owner fails to attend the annual conference, Basecamp Fitness will bill the franchisee the amount of the then-current "early bird" conference fee after the conference has concluded.

While attendance is mandatory for the Principal Owner, the franchisee may also register additional representatives to attend the conference, provided they pay the current registration fee for each attendee. This allows the franchisee to involve key staff members in training and networking opportunities. The FDD excerpt does not specify the frequency or location of these conferences, so prospective franchisees should inquire about these details to better understand the potential costs and time commitments involved.
