What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Basecamp Fitness has significant control over the signs and advertising displayed at your studio. You are required to prominently display signs, both inside and outside your studio, that conform to Basecamp Fitness's specifications regarding form, color, number, location, size, and the use of their Marks. Basecamp Fitness may also require you to use illuminated signs. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and ensuring compliance with all laws and ordinances related to these signs.

More importantly, Basecamp Fitness retains the right to object to any sign or advertising you display at your Basecamp Studio. This gives them broad discretion over your studio's signage and advertising. You must also operate your studio so that it is clearly identified and advertised as a Basecamp Fitness studio, and all advertising, written materials, products, and supplies must have Basecamp Fitness's prior written approval and comply with their specifications.

Furthermore, you must use Basecamp Fitness's Marks on all signs, paper supplies, business cards, uniforms, advertising materials, and other items in the manner they prescribe. You are also required to provide samples or photographs of these items upon their request. This level of control is typical in franchising, as it ensures brand consistency and protects the franchisor's trademarks. However, it also means that as a franchisee, you have limited autonomy in designing and implementing your own advertising strategies and must adhere strictly to Basecamp Fitness's guidelines.
