Continuing Engagement Credits
Each calendar year, your Basecamp Studio must obtain at least 1,200 continuing engagement credits within our System. The credits are not tied to hours, but to specific events or participation you have in our System.
There are no additional fees for receiving continuing engagement credits, or taking additional training, but you are responsible for any expenses you or your employees incur in completing any activity. We do not currently, but in the future may offer you the opportunity to take virtual or other online training to receive continuing engagement credits. If you fail to meet the minimum requirements in any year, you must pay us a fee of $1.00 per Basecamp Studio for each credit deficiency, which we will deposit in the General Advertising and Marketing Fund. As an example, if you have 1 Basecamp Studio, and you achieved only 1,000 credits for the year, you would pay us a fee of $200, but if you had multiple Basecamp Studios, you would pay $200 for each of those Basecamp Studios. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, each Basecamp Fitness studio must obtain at least 1,200 continuing engagement credits within the Basecamp Fitness system each calendar year. These credits are earned through participation in specific events or activities within the system, rather than being tied to a specific number of hours.
There are no additional fees for receiving these continuing engagement credits or participating in additional training to earn them; however, the franchisee is responsible for covering any expenses incurred by themselves or their employees while completing these activities. Basecamp Fitness may offer virtual or online training opportunities in the future to earn these credits.
If a Basecamp Fitness studio fails to meet the minimum 1,200 credit requirement in any year, the franchisee must pay a fee of $1.00 per missing credit. This fee is calculated per Basecamp Fitness studio and is deposited into the General Advertising and Marketing Fund. For example, if a franchisee with one studio only achieves 1,000 credits, they would owe $200. This credit requirement is prorated for any partial year that the studio is open, and the fee is due on February 1st following the year of the deficiency.
