What kind of support does Basecamp Fitness provide to franchisees regarding operational issues?

During the term of the Franchise Agreement, we will:

  • (1) Make a representative reasonably available to speak with you on the telephone, or at our option, online or via email during normal business hours to discuss your operational issues and support needs or we may send a representative to your Studio (Franchise Agreement – Section 8).
  • (2) Arrange a mystery shopping service to shop your Basecamp Studio periodically during the term of your Franchise Agreement, and provide the results to you (Franchise Agreement – Section 8).
  • (3) Establish and maintain an Internet website for the Basecamp Fitness brand and provide with a local landing page for your Basecamp Studio on that site (Franchise Agreement – Section 9).
  • (4) Make available additional and advanced training that we feel is necessary to familiarize you and your management team on changes and updates in the franchise System (Franchise Agreement – Section 2, 7 and 8).
  • (5) Maintain and administer the General Advertising and Marketing Fund (Franchise Agreement – Section 5.B). See below for more information on this Fund and other advertising requirements.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, during the franchise agreement term, Basecamp Fitness will make a representative reasonably available to speak with franchisees via telephone, online, or email during normal business hours to discuss operational issues and support needs. Alternatively, Basecamp Fitness may send a representative to the franchisee's studio. Basecamp Fitness also arranges for a mystery shopping service to evaluate the franchisee's Basecamp Studio periodically and will provide the results to the franchisee.

Prior to opening a Basecamp Studio, franchisees gain access to Basecamp Fitness's operations manual, which contains mandatory and suggested specifications, standards, and procedures. The operations manual consists of one or more manuals, technical bulletins, or other written materials available electronically and may be modified by Basecamp Fitness periodically in its discretion. Basecamp Fitness also provides franchisees with a prototype floor plan and a list of the equipment, displays, fixtures, and furnishings for setting up or remodeling their studio.

Basecamp Fitness also provides technology support through its affiliate, ProVision. Franchisees must purchase a Technology & Fitness Equipment Package from ProVision, which includes fitness equipment and various technology equipment and systems needed to operate the Basecamp Studio. ProVision provides technology support, monitoring, and installation services for the Basecamp Studio. The cost to purchase the Technology & Fitness Equipment Package ranges from $100,480 to $127,430, including taxes, shipping, and installation. Franchisees will also pay ProVision a one-time set-up fee of $500 and a monthly technology fee of $799.
