reement are personal in nature and may not be used at any location other than the Franchised Location. You do not have the right to delegate, subfranchise, or sublicense any of your rights under this Agreement. Without our written consent, you may not use the Franchised Location for any purpose other than the operation of a Basecamp Fitness studio.
2. TERM; RENEWAL RIGHTS
- A. Initial Term. The term of this Agreement is for six (6) years commencing on the Effective Date of this Agreement, unless terminated earlier as provided in this Agreement.
- B. Renewal. You have the right to renew your Basecamp Fitness franchise for the Franchised Location for an additional five (5) year term, provided you meet all of the following conditions:

- you have given us written notice at least two hundred ten (210) days prior to the end of the then current term of this Agreement of your desire to renew;

- you and all entities you are a member, partner or shareholder of, are in compliance with all agreements between you and us and between you and our affiliates, and there has been no series of defaults by you thereunder (i.e., an abnormal frequency of defaults or a default that has occurred repeatedly, or a combination thereof), whether or not such defaults were cured;

- you make, or provide for in a manner satisfactory to us, such renovation and reequipping of your Basecamp Studio as we dee

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial term of the franchise agreement is six years, beginning on the effective date of the agreement. This means a franchisee will operate their Basecamp Fitness studio under the terms of the agreement for that period unless the agreement is terminated earlier according to its provisions.
At the end of the initial term, a franchisee has the option to renew the franchise for an additional five-year term. However, this renewal is contingent upon meeting several conditions. These conditions include providing written notice of intent to renew at least 210 days before the end of the current term, complying with all agreements with Basecamp Fitness and its affiliates, and completing any required studio renovations to meet current brand standards.
Further conditions for renewal include paying a renewal fee of $5,000 at least 15 days before the initial term expires, signing the then-current standard franchise agreement within 30 days of receipt, and presenting evidence of the right to remain in possession of the franchised location for the renewal term. The franchisee must also ensure their management staff completes any refresher training prescribed by Basecamp Fitness at least 30 days before the term's expiration and sign a general release of claims against Basecamp Fitness.
