What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Healthy Contributions (HC) has the right to amend the Fee Structure Schedule. Specifically, HC may change the fees and charges without prior notice. If a client objects to such changes, they can either alter their payment method (if not mandated by the Program Provider) or withdraw from the relevant program. This clause is outlined within the Healthy Contributions Terms and Conditions of Service.

This means that as a client participating in Fitness Incentive Programs administered by HC, a Basecamp Fitness franchisee must be prepared for potential changes in fees. While HC is not obligated to provide advance notice of these changes, the franchisee has options if they disagree with the new fee structure. They can explore alternative payment methods if available or choose to discontinue participation in the specific Fitness Incentive Program affected by the change.

It is important for a prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisee to carefully consider the implications of this clause. While the ability to withdraw from a program offers some protection, frequent changes to the Fee Structure Schedule could create uncertainty and potentially impact the profitability of participating in these programs. Franchisees should factor this potential variability into their financial planning and discuss with HC what typical frequency and magnitude of fee changes have been in the past.

Furthermore, the FDD states that HC will post a monthly report of fees and processing charges on its website. Franchisees should regularly review these reports to stay informed about any changes and ensure accurate billing. Being proactive in monitoring these reports can help identify and address any discrepancies promptly, maintaining a clear understanding of the costs associated with HC's services.
