What happens if a Principal Owner fails to attend the annual Basecamp Fitness conference?
Basecamp_Fitness Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
A Principal Owner must register for, pay the registration fee, and attend our conferences, if and when we have them.
Additional representatives of yours may also attend the conference, as long as you register them and pay the then-current registration fee for their attendance.
This conference may be a live or virtual event.
You must also pay for all travel and living expenses incurred by you and your representatives in attending the conference.
If your Principal Owner fails to attend our annual conference, we will bill you for the then-current "early bird" (or similar) conference fee after the conference.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Principal Owner is required to register for, pay the registration fee, and attend Basecamp Fitness conferences, if and when they are held. These conferences may be live or virtual events. Franchisees are also responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred while attending the conference.
If a Principal Owner fails to attend the annual Basecamp Fitness conference, Basecamp Fitness will bill the franchisee for the then-current "early bird" (or similar) conference fee after the conference has concluded. This fee is charged regardless of the reason for non-attendance.
This policy ensures that Principal Owners stay informed about updates to the Basecamp Fitness system and maintain a consistent level of knowledge and training. By mandating attendance or charging a fee for non-attendance, Basecamp Fitness incentivizes participation and helps to maintain brand standards across all franchise locations.
