What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may not move or relocate their Basecamp Studio without prior written consent from the company. To request a relocation, the franchisee must submit a written request to Basecamp Fitness at least 60 days before the intended relocation date, including the new location. This request must be accompanied by a relocation fee of $1,500, plus any expenses Basecamp Fitness incurs to review the new location. Basecamp Fitness will refund the relocation fee if they do not approve the new location.
The new location must be within the franchisee's Protected Territory and cannot be located within any territory granted to another franchisee. Upon approval, the franchisee must upgrade the new space to comply with all of Basecamp Fitness's current specifications and construct the new premises as required.
After relocation, Basecamp Fitness or its designee will conduct a security inspection to ensure all security equipment has been properly installed. The Rider to the Franchise Agreement will also be amended to reflect the new location and any updates to the Protected Territory. These stipulations ensure that any relocation maintains Basecamp Fitness's brand standards and protects the interests of other franchisees.
