What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, a franchisee is required to return the Manual to Basecamp Fitness. This includes all copies and excerpts of the manual.
In addition to returning the manual, the franchisee must also cease using it and any other confidential information, approved Information System and related software, methods, procedures, and techniques associated with the Basecamp Fitness system. This extends to all Marks, distinctive forms, slogans, signs, symbols, logos, and devices associated with the system, as well as any similar names, marks, symbols, logos, or slogans.
Furthermore, the franchisee must either destroy or convey to Basecamp Fitness all signs, advertising materials, displays, stationery, forms, and any other materials that bear or display the Marks. This ensures that the franchisee no longer represents themselves as a Basecamp Fitness franchisee and prevents any potential confusion or misuse of the brand's intellectual property after the agreement ends.
