What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the fees for the Coaches Training Course are payable before the training occurs. This means that a prospective franchisee must budget for these training costs and ensure payment is made in advance to allow their fitness manager and coaches to attend the required training.
Specifically, the Fitness Manager must attend the Coaches Training Course between 45 and 60 days before the Basecamp Studio opens. Additionally, at least 3 fitness coaches must complete the course between 7 and 30 days before opening. Any new coach retained must complete the course within 45 days after being hired. Since the fees are due before training, franchisees need to plan their payments accordingly to ensure their staff can attend on time.
Furthermore, after the first 12 months of operation, Basecamp Fitness franchisees will be charged the then-current per attendee training fee for each coach who attends the Coaches Training Course. This fee is also payable before the training and is nonrefundable. Franchisees are also responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred by their personnel attending the training, adding to the overall cost of ensuring their coaching staff is properly trained.
