What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the fee for the Relaunch Training is payable before the training occurs. This training is required for the Principal Operator if the Basecamp Studio fails to meet the 6-month membership requirements or is not on track to meet them, as determined by Basecamp Fitness.
This means that if a franchisee's studio underperforms in its initial months, they will be required to pay for additional training to address the issues. The FDD does not specify the exact amount of the fee, only stating that it will be the then-current fee for the training course.
Prospective franchisees should consider this as a potential expense if their studio struggles early on. It would be prudent to inquire about the current cost of the Relaunch Training to factor it into their financial planning. Additionally, franchisees should clarify the specific criteria Basecamp Fitness uses to determine whether a studio is "on track" to meet membership requirements to avoid unexpected training requirements.
