What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Washington Addendum to the Franchise Agreement addresses conflict of laws. For Basecamp Fitness franchises in Washington, the provisions of the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act, chapter 19.100 RCW, will prevail in the event of a conflict of laws.

This means that if there is a disagreement between what the franchise agreement says and what the Washington state law says, the state law will be followed. This protection is specifically for franchisees operating in Washington, ensuring that the state's franchise laws take precedence over conflicting terms in the franchise agreement.

Prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisees should be aware of any addenda that apply to their specific state, as these can modify the standard franchise agreement. This ensures that franchisees' rights are protected under local laws, especially concerning aspects like termination, renewal, and dispute resolution.
