What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, certain employees must complete the Initial Training Program. Specifically, the individual designated as the "Principal Operator" and the studio manager are required to complete this program. The fitness manager must complete the Day In the Life Operations Training, which is a segment of the Initial Training Program. Additionally, someone owning a ten percent (10%) or greater interest in your Basecamp Studio and guaranteeing the Franchise Agreement (a "Principal Owner"), if other than the Principal Operator, must also attend the training program.
This requirement ensures that key personnel involved in the daily operations and management of the Basecamp Fitness studio are adequately trained in the brand's operational procedures and standards. The Initial Training Program includes instruction on basic operating skills and other topics selected by Basecamp Fitness. This training may be provided virtually, in-person at the corporate offices, or at another designated location.
Prospective franchisees should note that Basecamp Fitness will provide the initial training program at its expense for the Principal Operator, Studio Manager, and Principal Owner (if applicable). However, the franchisee is responsible for all travel costs, room and board, salaries, fringe benefits, and other expenses incurred by these employees while attending the training program. Franchisees should factor these costs into their initial investment and operating budget.
