What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee believes that Basecamp Fitness has not adequately provided pre-opening services, they must notify Basecamp Fitness in writing within thirty (30) days following the opening of their Basecamp Studio. This notification should cover any issues related to site selection, equipment and supplies, training, or any other aspect affecting the studio's establishment.
If the franchisee fails to provide this written notice within the specified 30-day period, they will be deemed to have conclusively acknowledged that all pre-opening and opening services provided by Basecamp Fitness were sufficient, satisfactory, and complied with all representations made. This means that after 30 days, the franchisee loses the ability to claim that the pre-opening services were inadequate.
This requirement is significant because it places a strict deadline on the franchisee to assess and raise any concerns about the support received during the critical pre-opening phase. Franchisees should carefully document all interactions and services provided by Basecamp Fitness during this period to ensure they can make an informed assessment within the 30-day window. It is a common practice in franchising to have such notification deadlines to ensure timely resolution of issues and prevent disputes from arising long after the studio has opened.
Therefore, a prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisee should understand the importance of diligently evaluating all pre-opening services and promptly communicating any concerns in writing within 30 days of opening to protect their rights and ensure that Basecamp Fitness addresses any deficiencies in a timely manner.
