Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Between forty five (45) and sixty (60) days before opening of your Basecamp Studio, your Fitness Manager must attend and complete to our satisfaction our "Coaches Training Course" and "Day in the Life Training." Further, between seven (7) and thirty (30) days before opening of your Basecamp Studio, at least 3 of your fitness coaches must attend and complete to our satisfaction our "Coaches Training Course." Each new coach you retain must complete to our satisfaction this course within forty-five (45) days after you retain the person.

This course will be held online or at a location we specify.

We will charge our then-current fee for this course, plus costs of travel lodging and meals if held at a location other than our corporate offices or online.

Fees are payable before the training occurs.

You are also responsible for all travel and living expenses your personnel may incur in attending the training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Coaches Training Course can be held either online or at a location specified by Basecamp Fitness. This provides flexibility in how the training is delivered, potentially reducing travel costs if the online option is chosen.

If the training is held at a physical location other than Basecamp Fitness's corporate offices or online, the franchisee is responsible for the then-current fee for the course, as well as the costs of travel, lodging, and meals for their personnel. This could represent a significant expense for franchisees, especially if multiple coaches need to be trained. It is important to factor in these potential costs when budgeting for the franchise.

The franchisee is also responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred by their personnel while attending the training, regardless of the location. This reinforces the need for careful budgeting and planning to manage these expenses effectively. Franchisees should inquire about the typical duration and location of the training to estimate these costs accurately.
