Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We retain the right, in our sole discretion, to choose to award or not to award a franchise to any prospective franchisee, and to cease discussions regarding the awarding of a franchise at any time, regardless of the stage of the franchise award process or the time and money spent by you or any other prospective franchisee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Basecamp Fitness Franchise Disclosure Document, Basecamp Fitness retains the right to choose whether or not to award a franchise to a prospective franchisee. Basecamp Fitness can cease discussions about awarding a franchise at any point in the process.

This means that even if a potential franchisee has invested time and money into the application process, Basecamp Fitness is not obligated to award them a franchise. This decision is at Basecamp Fitness's sole discretion, regardless of how far along the application process is.

This clause protects Basecamp Fitness, allowing them to carefully select franchisees who they believe will be a good fit for the brand. However, it also introduces risk for the prospective franchisee, who could lose their investment of time and money if Basecamp Fitness decides not to proceed with the agreement. It is important for potential franchisees to understand this risk and carefully consider their options before pursuing a Basecamp Fitness franchise.
