- E. Marketing Materials. You also must purchase a representative sample of all marketing materials we prepare for brand level promotions. We may prescribe minimum amounts of these materials that you must purchase and we may auto-ship these items to you at your cost. The amounts you pay for these items are nonrefundable and must be paid at the times we specify. These items will not constitute all of the items you will need to market your Basecamp Studio and you will need to purchase other items. If you choose to contract with marketing vendors that are not our preferred vendors, you may not have access to certain resources, assets and communications.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the amounts franchisees pay for marketing materials purchased from Basecamp Fitness are nonrefundable. Basecamp Fitness may prescribe minimum purchase amounts for these materials and may even auto-ship them to franchisees at their cost.
These marketing materials are intended to supplement the local marketing efforts of individual franchisees and will not cover all marketing needs. Franchisees will likely need to purchase additional marketing items beyond those provided by Basecamp Fitness. Franchisees also need to submit any advertising they propose to use for their Basecamp Studio to Basecamp Fitness for prior approval at least four weeks before use. Basecamp Fitness retains the right to refuse, reject, adjust, or require changes to any advertising material.
If a franchisee chooses to contract with marketing vendors that are not preferred by Basecamp Fitness, they may not have access to certain resources, assets, and communications. This could potentially limit the franchisee's marketing effectiveness if they opt to use outside vendors not vetted or approved by the franchisor.
