What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred by their personnel while attending required training programs. These programs include New Franchisee Training for the Principal Operator and studio manager, Launch Training, Coaches Training Course for the Fitness Manager and coaches, and Day in the Life Training for the Fitness Manager. Basecamp Fitness estimates these travel and training expenses to be between $9,150 and $9,825. These expenses are paid to airlines, hotels, and restaurants as they are incurred during the training periods.

Basecamp Fitness does not charge a fee for the Presale Training or the Day in the Life training currently, but they do charge $3,000 for the Launch Training and $3,000 for the Coaches Training Course. These fees are paid directly to Basecamp Fitness. The initial investment table reflects these training fees in addition to the travel and living expenses.

Prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisees should factor these costs into their initial investment calculations, ensuring they have sufficient capital to cover these training-related expenses. It is also important to note that while the Day in the Life training is currently free, Basecamp Fitness may decide to charge a fee for it in the future, which would further increase the training expenses for franchisees.
