What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bang Cookies's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are currently required to purchase, license, and use a Square point of sale system with one configured hardware terminal. Franchisees must also purchase and maintain a computer system on-site at their shop location. This system generally includes hardware, software, and peripheral devices like printers.
Bang Cookies franchisees must meet the franchisor's requirements for back office and point of sale systems, security systems, printers, back-up systems, and high-speed internet access. Additionally, franchisees are obligated to use Bang Cookies's designated supplier and vendor for credit card processing, which may be integrated with the point of sale system. Credit card processing fees are typically based on a percentage of the gross sales processed through credit cards.
Furthermore, Bang Cookies requires franchisees to use their designated supplier and vendor for online ordering, customer rewards, and gift card systems. These systems must be accessible and integrated with the point of sale system, whether web-based or app-based. This ensures uniformity and integration across all Bang Cookies locations, allowing for efficient management of sales, customer data, and loyalty programs.
These requirements ensure that all Bang Cookies locations operate with a standardized and integrated technology infrastructure. While this provides consistency and support, franchisees should consider the costs associated with purchasing, licensing, and maintaining these systems, as well as the ongoing fees for credit card processing and other vendor services. It is important for prospective franchisees to inquire about the specific costs and terms associated with these systems to accurately assess the financial implications of operating a Bang Cookies franchise.
