What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bang Cookies' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Minnesota franchisees are entitled to specific termination rights under Minnesota law. Except in certain specified cases, Bang Cookies must provide a Minnesota franchisee with 90 days' notice of termination. During this 90-day notice period, the franchisee has 60 days to cure the issue that led to the termination notice.

This amendment to Item 17 of the FDD ensures that Bang Cookies complies with Minnesota Statutes Section 80C.14, Subdivisions 3, 4, and 5, which outline these requirements. This compliance is crucial for Bang Cookies to operate legally within Minnesota and protects the franchisee's rights under state law.

Prospective franchisees in Minnesota should be aware of these protections, as they provide a defined period to address any issues that could lead to termination. This cure period can be vital for franchisees to rectify problems and maintain their franchise agreement with Bang Cookies. Franchisees should consult the full Minnesota Franchise Act for a complete understanding of their rights and obligations.
