What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bang Cookies's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will not receive any material benefits for using designated or approved suppliers. Bang Cookies may negotiate purchase agreements with designated suppliers for source-restricted goods and services on behalf of the entire system and may also establish preferred vendor programs. Bang Cookies can also limit the number of approved vendors or designate a single vendor as the sole supplier.
Bang Cookies requires franchisees to purchase or lease certain source-restricted goods and services for the development and operation of their shops. These are goods and services that must meet Bang Cookies' specifications and/or be purchased from an approved or designated supplier, which may include Bang Cookies or its affiliates. The specifications and list of approved and designated suppliers are detailed in the manuals, and franchisees will be notified of any changes.
Bang Cookies estimates that purchases from approved suppliers, including exclusive suppliers, will account for approximately 80% of the total purchases and leases when establishing the franchised business. Furthermore, these purchases will represent about 60% of the ongoing operating expenses. This includes leases, system supplies, branded furniture and fixtures, signage, point-of-sale systems, computer equipment, credit card processing, online ordering systems, customer rewards programs, and gift card systems.
