For a first-time Bang Cookies Shop, who is required to attend the initial training?

If this is your first Shop we will provide initial training for you, or if you are a Corporate Entity, your Managing Owner, plus one designated manager. You or your Managing Owner and your general manager must successfully attend and complete the initial training program to our satisfaction no later than 45 days before the opening of your Shop. The initial training program takes place over an approximate two week period. If more than two individuals attend initial training you will be charged an additional fee per additional persons attending initial training. Although we provide you and your general manager with initial training at no additional fee or charge, you will be responsible for paying for all travel expenses and employee wages that you incur in your initial training attendance and participation. According to Bang Cookies's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you are opening your first Bang Cookies shop, either you, or if you are a corporation, your Managing Owner, along with one designated manager, are required to attend the initial training program. This training must be successfully completed no later than 45 days before the shop opens. The initial training program is approximately two weeks long.
Bang Cookies does not charge an additional fee for the initial training of the franchisee (or Managing Owner) and one designated manager. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel expenses and employee wages incurred during the training period. If more than two individuals attend the initial training, the franchisee will be charged an additional fee for each extra person.
The Bang Cookies initial training program is held at the company's shop and certified training shop in Edison, New Jersey. The training covers various subjects, as summarized in a chart within the FDD. Instructional materials include the Bang Cookies manuals, live instruction, and handouts. The Regional Retail Manager and COO supervise the training. Franchisees are also required to participate in any other training programs that Bang Cookies designates for the franchised business.
