What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bang Cookies's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Designated Territory for a shop is defined after the franchisee secures an approved location. Bang Cookies will then define the Designated Territory within Schedule 1 of the Franchise Agreement, including geographic boundaries and/or a description of the territory. If the franchisee signs a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, the shops must be located within the Development Area, and the Designated Territory for each shop will be defined in the Franchise Agreement for each respective shop.

Bang Cookies retains the right to approve or disapprove future shop locations under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement based on their current site selection criteria. The franchisee must locate their shop within the Designated Territory at an approved site if the territory is designated and granted before the shop selection.

This means that a Bang Cookies franchisee's exclusive territory is not determined until a site is approved, which could limit the franchisee's ability to secure a preferred location within a broader desired area. For franchisees considering a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, future locations are subject to Bang Cookies's evolving site selection criteria, adding an element of uncertainty to long-term expansion plans. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these factors and discuss territory specifics with Bang Cookies before signing the Franchise Agreement.
