What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly restricted from conducting business at any location other than the approved premises. The FDD states that franchisees need prior written consent from Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt to relocate their restaurant. This requirement ensures that franchisees operate solely from the location initially approved by the franchisor, maintaining brand consistency and quality control.
This restriction is a standard practice in franchising, allowing Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt to manage its brand image and customer experience effectively. By controlling the location of each franchise, Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt can ensure that each outlet meets its standards for appearance, service, and product quality. This also helps in managing market saturation and avoiding cannibalization between franchise locations.
For a prospective Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt franchisee, this means they must secure approval for their chosen site and cannot operate from any other location without explicit permission. This condition underscores the importance of thorough site selection and due diligence before signing the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees should carefully evaluate the approved location's potential and consider the long-term implications of being restricted to that specific site.
