What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt FDD, the franchisee is responsible for covering the expenses associated with attending the training program. Specifically, the franchisee must bear all personal expenses incurred during training, including compensation, travel, food, and lodging costs. This applies not only to the initial training but also to any additional training programs, sales meetings, operations meetings, and conventions that Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt may direct the franchisee (or its principal owner or Restaurant Manager) to attend.

This means that prospective Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt franchisees should factor in these training-related costs when evaluating the overall investment required to start and operate the franchise. These costs can potentially be significant, especially if the training location is far from the franchisee's home or if multiple individuals need to attend the training.

It is typical in the franchise industry for franchisees to cover their own travel and living expenses while attending required training. This is because the franchisor is providing the training itself, and the franchisee benefits directly from the knowledge and skills gained. However, franchisees should carefully review the FDD and franchise agreement to fully understand the scope of required training and the associated costs before investing in a Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt franchise.
