What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt FDD, the Area Development Fee is due upon signing the Deposit Agreement. The fee ranges from $50,000 to $70,000. This fee is for a minimum of two locations, as Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt requires this minimum to enter into an Area Development Agreement.
For franchisees considering an Area Development Agreement, half of the total initial franchise fee is due upon signing the Deposit Agreement. The balance of the initial franchise fee for the second location is paid upon signing the Franchise Agreement. For example, if the initial franchise fee is $25,000 per location, $25,000 is due upon signing the Deposit Agreement, and the remaining $25,000 is due when signing the Franchise Agreement.
It is important to note that all fees paid to Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt are fully earned upon payment and are non-refundable. The Area Development investment does not include the estimated initial investment for beginning operation of each franchised restaurant. These costs are detailed separately in Item 7 of the FDD. Prospective franchisees should carefully review these figures with a business advisor, accountant, or attorney before making any decision to purchase a franchise.
