What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must comply with anti-terrorism laws. These laws include Executive Order 13224 issued by the President of the United States and the USA PATRIOT Act. Additionally, franchisees must adhere to all other present and future federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, policies, lists, and any other requirements from governmental authorities that address or relate to terrorist acts and acts of war. These are collectively referred to as the "Anti-Terrorism Laws."
As part of this compliance, a Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt franchisee certifies, represents, and warrants that none of their property or interests are subject to being "blocked" under any of the Anti-Terrorism Laws. They also confirm that they are not otherwise in violation of any of these laws. Any violation of the Anti-Terrorism Laws by the Bananas Smoothies Frozen Yogurt franchisee or their employees, or any "blocking" of the franchisee's assets under these laws, constitutes grounds for immediate termination of the Franchise Agreement. This condition extends to any other agreements the franchisee has entered into with the Franchisor or its affiliates. This underscores the critical importance of adhering to these laws to maintain the franchise agreement and avoid potential legal and financial repercussions.
