What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the successor franchise fee must be paid concurrently with the execution of the successor franchise agreement. This means that the franchisee must pay the fee at the same time they sign the agreement to renew their franchise.
To exercise the option for a successor franchise, the franchisee must provide written notice to Bambu not more than 270 nor less than 180 days before the scheduled expiration of the current agreement. The successor franchise rights become effective upon signing the new Franchise Agreement then being offered to new Bambu franchisees.
Bambu is not obligated to offer a successor franchise if the franchisee fails to comply with the conditions for acquiring successor franchise rights. The conditions include compliance with the current agreement, timely payment of all fees, upgrading the shoppe to current standards, completing additional training, and executing a successor franchise rider with a general release of claims against Bambu.
