What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a list of approved suppliers and the standards and specifications for items to be used, sold, or leased through a Bambu shoppe will be made available to franchisees on or before the commencement of the onsite portion of the Training Program. These standards and specifications are mandatory and suggested for menu items, retail products, and related programs. Mandatory items include menu items and nutritional information, finishes, counter, POS/merchant service system, loyalty rewards program equipment, logoed paper products, uniforms, insurance, advertising materials, equipment, certain supplies and reports.

The list of approved suppliers will vary depending on the franchisee's location within Bambu's national distribution network. Franchisees must also adhere to the standards and specifications contained in Bambu's confidential Owner Operations Manual and policy releases, accessible through the Franchisee Resource Center (FRC). These FRC Materials, which may be modified at Bambu's discretion, include training materials, a blog, a forum, notices, marketing materials, artwork, a health compliance plan, an ordering platform, and other written or electronic materials for operating a Bambu shoppe.

Bambu also communicates standards and specifications via SMS (small message service) through email, text messages, or other electronic methods, which are considered part of the FRC Materials and must be followed. Franchisees are required to purchase a point-of-sale system, including hardware to service the loyalty rewards program, that meets Bambu's specifications, which is currently the Square bundled system. Additionally, Bambu will assist franchisees in developing a required kitchen workflow design, including specific equipment specifications, and will provide a style guide of recommended finishes and colors, materials, furniture, fixtures, counter and décor for designing the layout for the Franchised Location.
