What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after signing a lease for a franchised location, a franchisee is required to provide a copy of the signed lease to Bambu within 15 days of its execution. Additionally, the franchisee must notify Bambu when they take possession of the franchised location.

Beyond submitting the lease, the franchisee must also obtain the necessary permits and begin construction of the shoppe as quickly as possible. This includes retaining an architect and general contractor either at or before signing the lease, with the stipulation that Bambu has the right to approve these professionals. If Bambu does not approve the franchisee's choices, they may require the franchisee to use an architect or general contractor designated by Bambu.

These requirements ensure that Bambu maintains oversight and control over the establishment of each franchise location, helping to maintain brand consistency and quality. By requiring franchisees to submit leases and construction plans, Bambu can ensure that the location meets its standards and that the franchisee is taking the necessary steps to open the shoppe in a timely manner. The approval process for architects and contractors further protects Bambu's interests by ensuring that qualified professionals are involved in the construction process.
