What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs associated with training. Specifically, the franchisee must pay for all traveling, lodging, and meal expenses incurred by themselves and their employees while attending the training program. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for paying the wages of their employees during the training period, as Bambu does not provide compensation to training participants.
This means that a prospective Bambu franchisee needs to factor in these training-related expenses when budgeting for the initial investment. These costs can vary depending on the location of the training, the number of employees attending, and the duration of the training program. It is important to note that these expenses are in addition to the initial franchise fee and other startup costs.
Furthermore, Bambu also requires the franchisee or the Bambū Certified Team Leaders to obtain food safety manager certification from the ServSafe National Restaurant Association or another approved food safety certification program. The franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with this certification, including any required training. Bambu also has the right to require additional training and certification courses from time to time, with the franchisee being responsible for all associated traveling, lodging, and meal expenses. Therefore, franchisees should be prepared for ongoing training expenses throughout the term of the franchise agreement.
