What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel, lodging, and meal expenses for themselves and their employees when attending the initial training program. Specifically, three individuals designated as "Bambū Certified Team Leaders" are required to attend the initial training program. The franchisee bears the costs associated with these individuals' participation.
This requirement extends beyond the initial training. If Bambu provides additional training programs or requires the franchisee, Bambū Certified Team Leaders, or other designated employees to attend further training and certification courses, the franchisee is also responsible for all associated travel, lodging, and meal expenses. This includes attendance at any mandatory training program and the annual convention.
This financial responsibility for training-related expenses is a significant consideration for prospective Bambu franchisees. Franchisees need to factor in these costs when budgeting for the initial setup and ongoing operation of their Bambu shoppe. These expenses can accumulate, especially if additional training is required or if there are multiple employees who need to be trained. It is also important to note that training participants will not receive any compensation from Bambu while attending the training.
In addition to the above, if Bambu determines during its preassessment that the shoppe is not prepared for training and soft opening, Bambu will reschedule the remainder of the training and charge Franchisee for the additional costs incurred for travel cancellation and other additional expenses incurred by Bambu.
