What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is fully responsible for their employees' compliance with the operational standards of the Bambu system. This includes the initial training of employees who work in any capacity at the Bambu shoppe. The franchisee is also responsible for implementing training and other programs related to the legal, safe, and proper performance of their work.
Bambu may provide advice, suggestions, and certain training programs, but these are intended to protect Bambu's brand and set best practices. The franchisee has the discretion to utilize this information or not. Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring that they and all Bambu Certified Team Leaders obtain food safety certification from ServSafe National Restaurant Association or another approved program.
In practical terms, this means a Bambu franchisee must actively manage and oversee their staff to ensure they meet Bambu's operational standards. This includes investing in proper training programs, monitoring employee performance, and taking corrective action when necessary. The franchisee's success depends on maintaining high-quality operations that align with Bambu's brand standards.
This level of responsibility is typical in franchising, where franchisees are generally responsible for the day-to-day management of their business, including employee training and compliance. While Bambu provides the framework and standards, it is up to the franchisee to implement and enforce them at their location.
