Can the plans for the Bambu Franchised Location be changed after Bambu approves them?

Bambu Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You cannot change the plans once we approve them, without our prior written approval. If you change the plans or the construction of your shoppe without our knowledge or prior written approval, we may require you to conform your shoppe to the approved plans before you can open the shoppe for business to the public. We may require you to use the services of a company that will supervise the buildout of your Bambū shoppe if, in our sole discretion, we determine that the architect or contractor that you intend to use has insufficient knowledge and experience to build a Bambū shoppe.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, once the plans for a Franchised Location are approved by Bambu, they cannot be changed without prior written approval from Bambu. This requirement is in place to ensure that the Franchised Location adheres to Bambu's standards and specifications.

If a franchisee alters the plans or construction of their shoppe without obtaining the necessary written approval from Bambu, Bambu retains the right to demand that the franchisee bring the shoppe into compliance with the originally approved plans before it can be opened to the public. This provision underscores the importance of adhering to the approved plans and seeking permission before making any changes.

Bambu may also require the franchisee to use the services of a company that will supervise the buildout of the Bambu shoppe if Bambu determines that the architect or contractor the franchisee intends to use lacks sufficient knowledge and experience to build a Bambu shoppe. This is to ensure the buildout is done correctly and meets Bambu's standards.
