What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the parties involved in the Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUD Agreement) are Bambu Franchising LLC, referred to as "Bambu," and the franchisee, referred to as "Franchisee." This agreement grants the franchisee the right to develop and establish a specified number of Bambu shoppes within a defined geographic area, using Bambu's trademarks and system.
The MUD agreement outlines the obligations and rights of both parties during the development process. Bambu grants the development rights while also reserving certain rights for itself and its affiliates. The franchisee commits to a development schedule and the continuous operation of the agreed-upon number of shoppes. A separate Franchise Agreement is required for each shoppe developed under the MUD Agreement, ensuring each location adheres to Bambu's standards and practices.
The relationship between Bambu and the franchisee is further defined by potential addenda and riders to the MUD Agreement, which can modify the original terms. These modifications, along with the MUD Agreement, establish the legal framework for the franchisee's expansion of Bambu locations within their designated development area. Both parties must adhere to the terms outlined in these documents to ensure a successful and mutually beneficial partnership.
