What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bambu owns all financial information transmitted by the franchisee to Bambu. This includes financial statements and other reports that Bambu may request to evaluate or compile research and performance data. Bambu is under no obligation to account to the franchisee for the use and exploitation of this information.

This means that once a Bambu franchisee provides financial data to Bambu, Bambu has the right to use that information as it sees fit, without needing to compensate or provide an explanation to the franchisee. Bambu can use this data to prepare financial performance representations, release information to substantiate these representations, and share the information with other franchisees or third parties.

For a prospective franchisee, this clause highlights the importance of understanding how Bambu will use the financial data provided. While this data sharing can benefit the franchise system as a whole, franchisees should be aware that they relinquish control over this information once it is submitted to Bambu. It is a common practice in franchising for franchisors to collect and utilize franchisee data for benchmarking and system-wide improvements, but the specific terms of ownership and usage can vary.
