What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bambu has no obligation to select or acquire a location on behalf of the franchisee. However, Bambu will assist the franchisee in the selection and approval of locations for their shoppes, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreements.
This means that while the responsibility of finding a suitable location ultimately falls on the franchisee, Bambu will provide support during the site selection process. This assistance is subject to the terms outlined in the Franchise Agreement, which the franchisee should carefully review to understand the scope and limitations of Bambu's support.
The FDD also states that the franchisee cannot enter into any contract for the purchase or lease of premises without prior written approval from Bambu. This highlights the importance of working closely with Bambu during the site selection phase to ensure compliance and avoid potential issues. While Bambu offers assistance, the final decision and responsibility for securing an appropriate location rests with the franchisee.
