What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must submit materials to the governmental authority that issues the required construction permits and approvals, as well as to their landlord, if applicable. These materials must be provided to and approved by Bambu before the franchisee submits them for permitting if they deviate materially from the initial workflow design and equipment specifications that Bambu provides.
It is the franchisee's responsibility to prepare all required architectural designs, mechanical drawings, site plans, blueprints, and construction plans to suit the dimensions of the franchised location. These plans must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, and any lease or purchase agreement.
This requirement ensures that the Bambu shoppe's construction aligns with both Bambu's standards and all legal requirements. The franchisee bears the responsibility of ensuring compliance, while Bambu retains approval rights over any deviations from their standard designs. This process helps maintain brand consistency and reduces the risk of non-compliance with local regulations.
