What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must prepare all drinks in accordance with Bambu's recipes and using only ingredients that Bambu approves. This requirement ensures consistency and quality across all franchise locations. Bambu retains the right to change or supplement the authorized products and services, including menu items, and to implement new programs.
This means a franchisee does not have the freedom to experiment with unauthorized ingredients or alter recipes. They must adhere strictly to Bambu's standards. This is a common practice in franchising to maintain brand uniformity and customer expectations.
Franchisees must also comply promptly with any mandatory ingredient or product recalls issued by Bambu. This is crucial for protecting the brand's reputation and ensuring customer safety. The FDD emphasizes that there are no limits on Bambu's right to change or supplement the types of authorized products and services.
Overall, this level of control allows Bambu to maintain quality control and brand consistency across all locations. While it limits the franchisee's autonomy, it also provides a proven system and support for product development and quality assurance.
