What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while there is no prohibition against a franchisee using a public figure or celebrity in their promotional efforts or advertising, it requires Bambu's prior approval. This means that a franchisee must seek and obtain written consent from Bambu before featuring any public figure in their advertisements or promotional materials.
This requirement allows Bambu to maintain control over its brand image and ensure that any association with a public figure aligns with the brand's values and standards. It also protects Bambu from potential negative publicity or endorsements that could harm the brand's reputation. The approval is necessary regardless of whether the public figure is being used in the name or symbol of the franchise or simply endorsing or recommending the franchise in advertisements.
For a prospective Bambu franchisee, this means that if they have a specific public figure in mind for their advertising campaigns, they should first discuss this with Bambu and obtain their written approval before proceeding with any promotional materials. This process ensures compliance with the franchise agreement and helps maintain a consistent brand image across all Bambu locations. Franchisees should factor in the time required for this approval process when planning their marketing and advertising strategies.
