What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program requires three individuals designated by the franchisee and approved by Bambu to attend and successfully complete the program. These individuals are to assume primary responsibility for operating the Bambu shop and are designated as "Bambū Certified Team Leaders."
If a franchisee wishes to have more than three individuals participate in the training program, Bambu may charge its then-current additional training fee for each additional person. The franchisee is also responsible for covering all traveling, lodging, meal expenses, and wages incurred by the franchisee and their employees while attending the training program. Bambu does not provide any compensation to training participants during this period.
This policy has significant implications for prospective franchisees. It is essential to carefully select the three individuals who will attend the initial training, as additional training for more than three people will incur extra costs. Franchisees should factor in these potential additional training fees, along with travel, lodging, and wage expenses, when budgeting for the initial setup and training phase of their Bambu franchise.
