What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee cannot change the location of their Franchised Location without Bambu's written consent. If a franchisee wants to relocate, they must first obtain approval from Bambu, which will base its decision on factors similar to those used when assessing the initial location.
Upon approval of the new location, the franchisee is required to pay a relocation fee of $15,000. In return, Bambu will provide support for the new location, including two site visits and three days of additional training. The specific content of this training will be determined by Bambu.
It's important to note that if the existing Bambu shop is closed during the relocation process, the franchisee remains responsible for Royalty Fee payments. However, Bambu will waive the Marketing and Technology Fee until the relocated shop is reopened. This policy ensures that Bambu continues to receive royalties during the transition while providing some financial relief by temporarily suspending the Marketing and Technology Fee.
