What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is restricted from offering or selling any products and services that have not been previously approved by Bambu in writing. This means that a franchisee must adhere to the specific products and services that Bambu designates for the shoppe.
This restriction ensures uniformity and quality control across all Bambu franchise locations. It allows Bambu to maintain its brand standards and customer expectations. If a franchisee wishes to introduce a new product or service, they must first seek written approval from Bambu, which may or may not be granted at Bambu's discretion.
This policy has significant implications for a prospective franchisee. It limits their autonomy in making independent decisions about the products and services offered at their location. While it ensures consistency, it also means that franchisees cannot cater to local preferences or market demands without prior approval from Bambu. Franchisees should discuss the approval process and criteria with Bambu to understand the flexibility they have in customizing their offerings.
Furthermore, the franchisee must offer all types of products and services as prescribed by Bambu from time to time. This obligation reinforces the franchisor's control over the menu and offerings at each location, ensuring that the brand remains consistent and aligned with Bambu's strategic vision.
