Can a Bambu franchisee be one of the designated Bambu Certified Team Leaders?

You are not required to participate personally in the direct day-to-day management and/or operation of your shoppe. However, at all times during the term of your Franchise Agreement, you must have at least three designated Bambū Certified Team Leaders, one of which may be you, who are responsible for the supervision and management of your Bambū shoppe. One of your Bambū Certified Team Leaders must be available at all times to be at the Bambū shoppe upon our demand. At least one of your Bambū Certified Team Leaders may not engage in any other business or other activity, directly or indirectly, that requires any significant management responsibility or time commitment, or otherwise may conflict with his or her obligations to operate and manage the shoppe. We do not require that the Bambū Certified Team Leaders have an equity interest in the shoppe. If you sign a MUD Agreement, or if you otherwise acquire and operate multiple Bambū shoppes, you must designate at least one Bambū Certified Team Leader to be responsible on a full-time basis for the supervision and management of each shoppe that you operate. The Bambū Certified Team Leader shall assign one or more qualified employees ("Shift Leaders"), one of whom must be present at the shoppe during all operating hours when a Bambū Certified Team Leader is not present. Shift Leaders may be part-time employees.

You or a Bambū Certified Team Leader are responsible for recruiting, appointing, hiring, firing, and supervising your employees, independent agents, and other Bambū Certified Team Leaders. You are solely

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can be one of the designated Bambu Certified Team Leaders. Bambu requires franchisees to have at least three designated Bambu Certified Team Leaders who are responsible for the supervision and management of the Bambu shop. The franchisee can be one of these leaders.

Bambu requires that one of the Bambu Certified Team Leaders be available at all times to be at the shop upon demand. However, at least one of the Bambu Certified Team Leaders cannot be involved in any other business or activity that could interfere with their responsibilities in operating and managing the Bambu shop.

If a franchisee signs a MUD Agreement or operates multiple Bambu shops, they must designate at least one Bambu Certified Team Leader to be responsible full-time for supervising and managing each shop. The Bambu Certified Team Leaders are responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising employees, independent agents, and other Bambu Certified Team Leaders.
